WE Rise – Mentorship and Professional Development Program

About the Program

WE Spark is a national program delivered by the Women and Energy Association to prepare Saudi female university students for careers in energy transition through a progressive learning pathway that combines academic and practical training in collaboration with leading national and international universities and institutions.

The program aims to develop a new generation of highly qualified Saudi women equipped with the knowledge and skills required to contribute to the evolving energy sector. The one-year journey begins with a virtual foundation phase and progresses through increasingly advanced stages, culminating in an international summer program at world-renowned universities.

Target Audience

Saudi female university students.

Program Duration

One year, delivered through four consecutive phases.

Program Journey

Phase One – Foundation

Delivered virtually to build participants’ foundational knowledge of energy transition and prepare them for the following stages.

Participants: 1,536

Phase Two – Preparatory

Delivered at leading Saudi universities, combining academic and practical learning to strengthen participants’ technical knowledge and specialized skills.

Phase Three – Advanced

Focused on expanding participants’ scientific knowledge and practical expertise through advanced programs at leading national universities.

Participants: 104

Phase Four – International Summer Program

Provides participants with an international academic experience at globally recognized universities, strengthening their readiness to compete in the global energy sector.
